Recipe: Garlic Green Beans
Ingredients
- fresh green beans
- butter
- garlic
- salt & pepper
Directions
- Trim your beans & rinse them if needed.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the green beans for just 2-3 minutes.
- Dump them into a strainer in your sink.
- Melt some butter in a pan (or be lazy like me and use the same pot you boiled them in!) over medium heat.
- Add the garlic and cook about 1 minute until fragrant (be careful that your pan isn't too hot so the garlic doesn't burn).
- Add your drained green beans back in and stir them around in the garlic-buttery goodness. add salt & pepper to taste.
Note: If you like your green beans softer, you can boil them longer. if you like them crunchy, boil them less. I like mine crunchy with a little char on them, so I don't boil them too long and then saute them in the butter for awhile until they have a little black on 'em!Recipe curtesy of Emily
