Fresh Start

Each day, each week we get a chance for a restart. Which, is an immense blessing for my 3-year-old. He needs restarts. He is so very feisty. He’s got attitude and passion for days (wonder where he gets that from?). Cole wakes up grumpy. He pretty much hates all things about morning. Waking up, getting dressed, being cold until he gets dressed, having to choose a breakfast item. All of it, he hates all of it, yet he is desperately in need of a fresh start each day. I can resonate with that, I am also not a morning person, but I do love a fresh start. It’s so lovely of God to give us a fresh start each week and each day. We can easily put the old away and step into the new. It is never God’s intention for us to sit, stay the same, and be bogged down by it all. He states very clearly that he is always doing a new thing. Each day, each week you get a chance to shake off the old and step into the new.

“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”Revelations 21:5:

Reflect on Revelations 21:5 then take time to answer these questions:1. What is a new truth God is revealing for you this week?2. How can you do a restart? To have a restart, a redo. Not only do you get to allow this for yourself but also you can give this great gift of a restart to your spouse, your kids, your roommate, whomever! It’s a free gift to accept and give away! A fresh start, the gift that keeps on giving. He is making us new, accept this gift and then give it away, because grace and restarts should always be shared!
