Feed My Sheep: Sausage Biscuits to Go
When I think about how Jesus says "Feed my sheep" (John 21:17) sometimes I just apply that literally. Since God overflows love on us and we in turn overflow on to others I want to always be givign you tangible ways of how that plays out in the everyday. Feeding your people is part of that. Yes, cooking for and feeding your people is an overflow of God's love, a literal feeding of his sheep. Here is a "mom-hack" way to do easy, yummy, hearty breakfast now that school is starting. My people love these, and I can't take much credit because I had these in my freezer to eat growing up too!Ingredients
- Pillsbury southern style or original biscuits (you can make as many of these at a time as you want. I usually make 16)
- Sausage Patties (thawed) I prefer Tennessee Pride
- Plastic wrap or sandwich baggies
- Freezer gallon zip lock bag to store the finished product
InstructionsBake biscuits according to package (375 for 13-17 minutes)Cool them slightlyCook sausage on griddle or in large frying pan till fully cooked on both sides, place on paper towel to pat off greaseCut biscuits down the middle but not fully throughPlace sausage in biscuitWrap biscuit in plastic wrap or baggiePlaced wrapped sausage biscuits in gallon zip lock baggie for storageYour people can pull one out in the morning, zap for 35-45 seconds in the microwave and BAM!
